Year 12 Clinical Neuroscience Outreach Day

We are delighted to invite Year 12 students to an engaging day of Clinical Neuroscience learning, held as part of Brain Awareness Week 2026 (16th-20th March).
This event offers a unique opportunity to explore the science of the brain through interactive workshops and expert talks, and understand the research being undertaken in this area at Brighton & Sussex Medical School (BSMS).
🧬 What’s Happening:
- Practical Sessions: Discover brain anatomy and physiology through guided, hands-on activities.
- Neuroanatomy – enter BSMS’s anatomy labs used for teaching medical students and explore these state-of-the-art facilities
- Neurophysiology – understand how the electricity our brain creates can be used to control the rest of our bodies, and even those around us
- Talks & Discussions: Learn from clinicians and researchers about:
- The Ageing Brain – understanding how the brain changes across the lifespan
- Interoception – exploring how the brain senses changes in physical and emotional states throughout the body
