Our shared vision:

For each and every student to achieve their maximum potential.

The Learning Resource Centre (Library) is adjacent to the main reception, and is staffed by Mrs Thornton (a chartered librarian). The LRC welcomes all year groups and provides access to a wide range of resources and facilities including:

  • Junior, teen and adult fiction
  • Curriculum-related titles
  • Non-fiction books of general interest
  • Daily newspapers and a small collection of comics and magazines
  • Scanning
  • Printing (mono & colour)
  • Photocopying (mono & colour)
  • A selection of stationery for purchase
  • 12 computers with access to the school network & internet

Students automatically become members of the LRC and use a biometric system (the same system used in the canteen) or swipe card to borrow items.

Students may borrow up to six items for a period of up to three weeks.

Members of staff are welcome to book the library during lessons and can do this via the School Booking System.
