Working Here

Looking for a job where your talents and passion will lead to incredible achievements?

If you are looking for your first position or seeking your next career move as an experienced or unqualified teacher or associate professional, on these pages you will find information about our current vacancies and why Hazelwick is such a great place to work.

Our purpose is to maximise the academic achievement and wellbeing of every student at Hazelwick and our staff are essential to that success.

We are committed to developing our inclusive workplace welcoming staff from all backgrounds and cultures, investing in training and development, and providing a work environment to promote employee wellbeing and feeling of community spirit – our low staff turnover rate pays tribute to this.

Hazelwick is in the excellent commuter location of Crawley West Sussex, close to Gatwick Airport with great access and transport links via the M23 and Three Bridges railway station to London, East Croydon, Brighton and the South Coast.  Many of our staff travel to Crawley from Brighton - we are the first school on the train line from Brighton to attract the Fringe Area allowance.

As an oversubscribed Converter Academy with over 1800 students aged 11 to 18, (330 in our Sixth Form) we are incredibly proud of our reputation and that we are one of the highest performing schools in West Sussex, with a Progress 8 score of +0.47.  We are exceedingly proud of our students who are fantastic ambassadors for our school.

We have a wonderfully spacious and well maintained school site with extensive playing fields covering an area of 23 acres.

We understand it can be difficult financially to make a move geographically or to a different teaching role so we have a range of recruitment incentives to help you, from travel season ticket assistance to relocation expenses. Talk to us to find out how we can help you join our fabulous teaching and associate teams.
