I am delighted to welcome you to Hazelwick School and to our website. Hazelwick is a wonderful school, focussed on offering a top-level education to all our students and supporting them to become the very best version of themselves.

Students at Hazelwick enjoy high-quality lessons that open their minds to the joys and benefits of learning. The school offers a broad and balanced curriculum that gives students a wide experience of subjects, skills and opportunities in Key Stage 3, before they are able to exercise choice and specialise more as they move into Key Stage 4. Our Sixth Form curriculum is delivered by high-quality teachers that are experts in their field, ensuring that our students can move into life post-18 with the qualifications and attributes that they require.  

We recognise and celebrate the strengths and abilities of all our students and one of the school’s great strengths is the inclusive nature of our community. Students are not compared to one another or ranked as a class. Rather they are supported and challenged to maximise their own potential, and to enable and facilitate those around them to do the same.

We rightly have high expectations of our students in everything that they do, and they are supported to meet these expectations by a team of highly-skilled and deeply committed school staff. We recognise that learning, development and success happen both inside and outside the classroom. Staff at Hazelwick strive to educate the whole child, with a focus on supporting and guiding them to become confident and positive members of the society they will move into after school.

Hazelwick is a diverse, focussed and thriving community. The pastoral teams work diligently to understand students and support them through their adolescence. Hazelwick is a big school, and that brings with it a great range of opportunities. However, within that we also pride ourselves on knowing our students as individuals.
