NATIONAL TEEN BOOK CLUB

English

We are delighted to announce a one-off National Teen Book Club onTuesday 11th October 2022 at 14:00 – 16:30 for The Blue Book of Nebo.

  • 14:00 – 15:00 will be held in English
  • 15:30 – 16:30 well be held in Welsh

Author Manon Steffan Ross will join both events for a live Q&A and we encourage groups to attend both sessions! While we are excited to celebrate the Welsh language and literature, we want to ensure that anyone from across the UK who has an interest in this fantastic book also has the chance to discuss it with Manon. The themes of this book resonate with all of us, particularly those of us who grow up speaking two languages.

Educators can SIGN UP HERE to take part.

This session is in addition to our 6 Book Club cycles, which you can sign up to here.

Welsh

Rydym yn falch iawn o gyhoeddi National Teen Book Club untro arDdydd Mawrth 11eg o Hydref am 14:00 – 16:30 a’r llyfr bydd Llyfr Glas Nebo.

  • 14:00 – 15:00 wedi cynnal yn Saeneg
  • 15:30 – 16:30 wedi cynnal yn Gymraeg

Bydd yr awdur Manon Steffan Ross yn ymuno â’r ddau digwyddiad am sesiwn holi ac ateb yn fyw ac rydym yn annog grwpiau i fynychu’r ddau sesiwn! Er ein bod yn edrych ymlaen at ddathlu’r iaith Gymraeg a llenyddiaeth Gymraeg, rydym am sicrhau bod unrhyw un o bob rhan o’r DU sydd â diddordeb yn y llyfr gwych hwn hefyd yn cael y cyfle i’w drafod gyda Manon. Mae'r themâu yn atseinio gyda phob un ohonom, ac efallai'n arbennig gyda'r myfyrwyr hynny sy'n tyfu i fyny gyda dwy iaith.

Roedd Dylan yn chwech oed pan ddaeth Y Terfyn nôl yn 2018. Aeth y trydan i ffwrdd am byth, a diflannodd y byd yr oedd yn ei adnabod, byd 'normal' yr 21ain. Nawr mae e’n 14 oed ac mae ef a’i fam wedi goroesi yn eu cartref unig ar ben bryn uwchben pentref Nebo yng ngogledd-orllewin Cymru gan ddysgu sgiliau newydd a dychwelyd i hen ffyrdd o fyw. Er gwaethaf eu dealltwriaeth agos mae’r perthynas rhwng mam a mab yn newid yn gynnil wrth i Dylan cymryd cyfrifoldebau oedolyn. Mae gan y ddau ohonynt eu cyfrinachau eu hunain, sy'n dod i'r amlwg wrth iddynt, yn eu tro, nodi eu meddyliau a'u hatgofion mewn llyfr nodiadau a ddarganfuwyd – Llyfr Glas Nebo.

Yn y nofel yma, sydd wedi ennill sawl gwobr, mae Manon Steffan Ros nid yn unig yn archwilio’r gallu dynol i ddod o hyd i gryfderau newydd wrth wynebu’r angen i oroesi, ond hefyd yn cwestiynu strwythurau a normau’r byd cyfoes.

Gall addysgwyr cofrestru yma

Nodwch fod y sesiwn yma’n ychwanegol i’n 6 Book Club arferol.Gallwch gofrestru ar gyfer y gweddill yma.
