University of Oxford Medicine Virtual Study Day

St John’s College is pleased to welcome applications for the Medicine and Biomedical Sciences Virtual Study Day. This is taking place on Saturday 19th of March 2022, from 9:45am-5:30pm. This Virtual Study Day is entirely free of charge. The deadline for applications is Monday 14th of March 2022, 4pm.

Who is it for?

The Medicine and Biomedical Sciences Virtual Study Day is open to all pupils currently studying at non-selective state schools and sixth-form colleges in the UK, in Year 12 (Lower Sixth) or equivalent, and who are studying two or more of the following subjects at A-level (or equivalent):

  • Mathematics
  • Chemistry
  • Biology
  • Physics 

What is included in the day?

The Medicine and Biomedical Sciences Virtual Study Day is a day-long event that offers pupils the opportunity to find out about studying Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Oxford. Pupils will attend academic taster sessions, find out about the Medicine and Biomedical Sciences undergraduate degrees and application processes from tutors and current students, and hear about careers of St John's Medicine and Biomedical Sciences graduates.

Highlights of the day include:

  • Virtual academic taster sessions led by Medicine and Biomedical Sciences tutors
  • A talk on careers in Medicine and Biomedical Sciences with industry professionals
  • Workshops on developing your personal statement and interview performance
  • Advice on preparing for and taking the BMAT
  • A Q&A session with current Medicine and Biomedical Sciences students
